  • The country had a 5.1 percent growth in its economy in 2014
  • Local gov has helped change by setting up an inter-school computer programming contest, it offers free computer programming lessons for 14-18 year old students
  • gov provides office space with internet and electricity, plus a 100% tax discount for the first 10 years
  • murder rate has fallen by 80% from its peak, HOWEVER, there were still 920 violent deaths in the city last year
  • a new library; connecting poor communities to the internet
  • cable cars in the slum, to enable the poor to come into the city for work, reducing inequality

New logo retains NDCC amplifies the Cotswolds lion sheep, presents a bold new colour. Gives nod to heritage of Cotswolds, and showcases area in a more energetic way

In the song, ‘empire state of mind’ by Alicia Keys, it portrays the area (New York) in a negative light. For example, it shows that it is full of crime, through the quote “sirens all around”, and that the place is “mean”. Similarly, the quote “concrete jungle” implies that New York has very little greenery, its very built up and crowded
