A
- usually in long-term care facilities & assisted living facilities
- usually have been trained to work as nursing assistants first
- preparing ordered meds & distributing to residents under a licensed professional (usually a nurse)
- observing residents as they take meds

- Do NOT diagnose illness or prescribe treatments or medication
- Must NOT honor a request to do something outside the scope of practice, not listed in residents care plan
