Short term side effects of steroids
Make sure you tell your patients that they may experience:
- weight gain (increased appetite)
- edema (sodium retention)
- kidney function problems
- sun sensitivity
- irritibility
What is the scary side effect of stopping benzos cold turkey?
look out for seizures when you stop benzos abruptly
What combo of drugs make up augmentin?
Augmentin = amoxicillin plus clavulonic acid
If treating a sinus infection and the patient has already been on amoxicillin consider using quinolone, doxycycline, tetracycline, or a sulfa drug (TMP-SMX)

The “-sartan” drugs belong to the ARB class
ARB = Angiotensin II receptor blocker
