  • Took the rock, and defended it for the next 9 months.

  • British forces attempted to take Bunker Hill (near Boston) twice with no success. They brought in the Royal Marines, and they took the hill

  • Nelson went up against the French and Spanish
  • The marines were a large factor with the boarding parties that captured multiple enemy ships
