ENG LIMIT EXCEED L, R
- A/T ARM switch (affected side)…Confirm…OFF
2. Thrust lever (affected side)…Confirm…Retard until ENG LIMIT EXCEED message blanks or the thrust lever is at idle
CABIN ALTITUDE
- Done oxygen masks
- Establish crew communications
- Check cabin altitude and rate
- If cabin uncontrollable…PASS OXYGEN switch push to ON and hold for 1 second
- –Without delay descend to lowest safe altitude or 10,000’ whichever is higher
FD DOOR AUTO UNLOCK
Correct emergency access code is entered
FD DOOR ACCESS selector……rotate to DENY and hold for 1 second
ENG AUTOSTART L, R
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected side)…confirm…CUTOFF
ENG SURGE L, R
- A/T ARM switch (affected side)…Confirm…OFF
2. Thrust lever (affected side)…Confirm…Retard until the ENG SURGE message blanks or the thrust lever is at idle
Eng Svr Damage/Sep L, R
- A/T ARM switch (affected side)…Confirm…OFF
- Thrust lever (affected side)…Confirm…Idle
- FUEL CONTROL SWITCH (affected side)…CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected side)…Pull
Volcanic Ash
- Exit the volcanic ash as quickly as possible. Consider 180 degree turn. Consider a descending turn.
- Autothrottle disconnect switch…Push
- Thrust levers (both)…Idle (if conditions allow)
- Don oxygen masks and smoke goggles if needed.
- Establish crew communications, if needed.
Aborted Engine Start L, R
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected side)…..CUTOFF
FIRE ENG L, R
- A/T ARM switch (affected side)…Confirm…OFF
- Thrust lever (affected side)…Confirm…Idle
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected side)…Confirm…CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected side)…Confirm…Pull
- If the FIRE ENG msg stays show:
Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second
…if after 30 seconds, msg stays show, rotate to the other stop
Fire Eng Tailpipe L, R
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected side)…CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected side)…Verify In
- Advise the cabin.
- START selector (affected side)…START. (with APU or ext.pwr)
- Advise the tower.
- When the tailpipe fire is extinguished:
START selector (affected side)…NORMj
Smoke, Fire or Fumes
- Oxygen masks and smoke goggles…ON, 100%
2. Crew and cabin communications…Establish
STABILIZER
- STAB cutout switches (both)…CUTOUT
2. Do not exceed the current airspeed.
AIRSPEED UNRELIABLE
- Autopilot disconnect switch…Push
- A/T ARM switches (both)…OFF
- F/D switches (both)…OFF
- Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust:
Flaps extended…10 degrees and 85% N1
Flaps up…4 degrees and 70% N1
Loss of ALL Displays
- Engage autopilot
- Do not use LNAV, VNAV, FLCH, LOC/FAC, or APP modes)
- Use Captains’s ACP, TCP and left radio for communications
- L CCR RESET switch…Push
- Wait 1 minute.
Flight Crew member does not:
- Respond to two communications
- or, a single verbal challenge
- and/or deviation from flight profile
Actions:
- Assume control with A/P on
- Request F/A assist with Urgent Comm
- When aircraft at safe altitude/configuration
Tilt seat, move aft, pedals forward, harness lock
- Remove incapacitated crew member and replace
Dual Eng Fail / Stall
- FUEL CONTROL switches (both)…CUTOFF, then RUN
2. RAM AIR TURBINE switch…Push and hold for 1 second
RA (except in landing configuration)
- Disengage autopilot and autothrottle
- Smoothly adjust pitch and thrust
- PM -Exterior lights ON
RA in landing configuration
- Disengage autopilot and autothrottle
- Advance to maximum thrust
- Call for Flaps 20
- Smoothly adjust pitch
- Positive rate, call Gear Up
Upset Recovery (nose high)
- Disengage autopilot and autothrottle
- Nose down elevator (trim if needed)
- Reduce thrust
- Roll if needed
Engine Inoperative Cruise / Driftdown
- Request to “select ENG OUT on CRZ page”
- Ensure VNAV, set EO cruise altitude on MCP
- “Execute” EO D/D page and confirm MCT
- All lights ON, advise ATC
- Initiate turn if required
- “Checklist Engine Failure”
GPWS Warning response
- “FIREWALL”
- Disengage autopilot and autothrottle
- Apply maximum thrust
- Wings level and pitch to 20°
- Retract speedbrakes
Stall Recovery
- “STALL”
- Disengage autopilot and autothrottle
- Nose down elevator
- Reduce high thrust if required
- Check speedbrakes retracted
- If clean take-off config. -call “Flaps 1”
Traffic Avoidance procedure
- Look for traffic using display and reduce range
- Call out any conflicting traffic, if sighted maneuver
- Exterior lights ON
Windshear Escape Maneuver (Automatic flight)
- “FIREWALL”
- Push TO/GA switch, verify GA power
- Retract speedbrakes
