ENGINE FAILURE DURING TAKEOFF ABOVE V1 SPEED

A
  1. Rotate at VR to target takeoff pitch attitude; Climb at V2.
  2. Gear - Up, when positive rate-of-climb is established
  3. Climb to 1500 FT AGL or Obstacle Clearance Altitude (as appropriate), accelerate to V2 + 25, retract flaps, then accelerate to 200 KIAS en-route climb speed.

ENGINE FAILURE DURING APPROACH

A
  1. Control Wheel Master Switch (MSW) - Depress and Release
    Yaw Damper and Autopilot will disengage.
    (On aircraft 45-002 thru 45-294 not modified by SB 45-27-20, the spoilers will blow down while the MSW is depressed.)
  2. Thrust Lever (operative engine)- increase as required
  3. Flaps - 20°
  4. Airspeed - VREF + 5

  1. Attitude Control - As required. Use rudder and thrust as necessary
  2. ROLL DISC Lever - Pull (ROLL DISC white CAS)
    a) Pilot - Control aircraft with the spoilerons
    b) Do not use the copilot control.
    c) Do not use AIL TRIM.

  1. Attitude Control – As Required. Use pitch trim and attitude thrust as necessary.
  2. ELEV DISC Handle – Pull and rotate (ELEVATOR DISC white CAS). The pilot will control the left elevator and the copilot will control the right elevator.
  3. Determine elevator without the jam and transition flight control to that pilot.
    a) Do not apply additional control force to the jammed control
    b) Do not use PIT TRIM BIAS
