Brakes ... apply
Thrust levers ... idle
Speed brakes ... extend

2

Engine failure during takeoff - above V1

Nose up pitch at rotation ... 13 - 15 degrees up
Landing gear ... UP at positive rate
Airspeed ... maintain V2

3

Engine fire

Thrust (affected engine) ... idle
If ENG FIRE PUSH light remains on:
Thrust lever (affected engine) ... cutoff
Illuminated Engine fire switch ... push
Either fire bottle switch ... push

4

Engine fire detector failure

If this happens after an engine fire, the engine should be considered to still be burning

Engine fire procedure ... complete
Remaining illuminated fire bottle switch ... push

5

Engine failure in landing configuration

Thrust (operative engine) ... as required
Airspeed ... Vref (minimum)

6

Dual engine flameout

Immediate relight:
N2 ... verify above 50%
Ignitions ... On or Auto

If engine N2 is not above 50% or neither engine relights:
Battery ... emer

7

Inadvertent overspeed

Thrust ... idle
Speedbrakes ... extend

If airplane is nose down, roll wings level then pull up.

8

EGPWS warning
(PULL UP annunciator illuminated)

Go around button .. push
Thrust ... takeoff N1
Pitch attitude ... increase and climb to avoid terrain
Flaps ... retract to 10 if required
Landing gear ... up
Flaps ... fully retract
Speed brakes ... verify retracted
Terrain awareness display ... monitor
Pitch attitude ... maintain until warning ceases

9

Wind shear Warning
(WINDSHEAR WARNING annunciator illuminated)

Go around button ... push
Thrust ... takeoff N1
Pitch attitude ... smoothly rotate to GA attitude. Use intermittent stick shaker as upper pitch limit
Thrust ... avoid exceeding limits unless safety is in doubt
Flaps/gear ... don’t retract until safety is assured

10

Electrical fire of smoke

Oxygen masks ... don
Smoke goggles ... don
Mic selector ... OXY MASK
SPKR switches ... ON or don headset
INTPH switch ... ON
Smoke removal process ... if necessary

If known source, isolate failed circuits
If unknown source:
Battery ... emer
Master generator switches ... emer

11

Environmental system smoke or odor
