Memory Items Flashcards
(8 cards)
“WINDSHEAR, WINDSHEAR, WINDSHEAR”
“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
At Takeoff:
-Before V1:
—If there are significant variations in airspeed, and in airspeed trend below the indicated V1, reject the takeoff.
-After V1:
—THR LEVERS…………..TOGA
—REACHING VR……..ROTATE
—SRS ORDERS………FOLLOW
If necessary, the flight crew may pull the sidestick fully back.
When airborne, during initial climb, or at landing:
-THR LEVERS AT TOGA….SET OR CONFIRM
-AP (if engaged)…….KEEP ON
-SRS ORDERS…….FOLLOW
If necessary, the flight crew may pull the sidestick fully back.
Note: 1. The autopilot disengages if the angle of attack value goes above alpha prot. 2. If the FD bars are not displayed, move toward an initial pitch attitude of 17.5 deg. Then, if necessary, to prevent loss of altitude, increase pitch attitude.
-DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION (SLATS/FLAPS, GEAR) UNTIL OUT OF WINDSHEAR.
-CAREFULLY MONITOR FLIGHT PATH AND SPEED.
-WHEN OUT OF WINDSHEAR, SMOOTHLY RECOVER NORMAL CLIMB.
STALL WARNING AT LIFT-OFF
“STALL, TOGA 15 DEGREES”
- THRUST…………………….TOGA
At the same time:
- PITCH ATTITUDE……………15˚
- BANK……………WINGS LEVEL
UNRELIABLE SPEED INDICATION/ADR CHECK PROC
“UNRELIABLE SPEED”
If the safe conduct of the flight is impacted:
- AP………..OFF
- A/THR………OFF
- FD………..OFF
- PITCH/THRUST
- Below THR RED ALT……………………..15˚/TOGA
- Above THR RED ALT and Below FL 100….10˚/CLB
- Above THR RED ALT and Above FL 100…..5˚/CLB
- FLAPS (if CONF 0(1)(2)(3))…….MAINTAIN CURRENT CONFIG
- FLAPS (if CONF FULL)……SELECT CONFIG 3 AND MAINTAIN
- SPEEDBRAKES….CHECK RETRACTED
- L/G…….UP
-When at, or above MSA or Circuit Altitude: Level off for troubleshooting
EMERGENCY DESCENT
“EMERGENCY DESCENT”
- CREW OXY MASKS…………..USE
- SIGNS………………………………..ON
- EMER DESCENT…………INITIATE
- If A/THR is not active
- THRUST LEVERS …..IDLE
- SPD BRK………………………….FULL
If the TAWS triggers one of the PULL UP alerts:
“PULL UP”
“TERRAIN AHEAD PULL UP”
“TERRAIN TERRAIN PULL UP”
“OBSTACLE AHEAD PULL UP”
“OBSTACLE OBSTACLE PULL UP”
“PULL UP TOGA”
If the TAWS triggers one of the PULL UP alerts:
Simultaneously:
- AP…………………………….OFF
- PITCH……………….PULL UP
Pull up to full backstick and maintain that position.
- THRUST LEVERS………………….TOGA
-SPEED BRAKE LEVER……….CHECK RETRACTED
-BANK…………….WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
Aircraft obtains best climb performance when the wings are a level as possible. the flight crew can adjust bank while climbing, provided that turning is the safest action. Some PULL UP aural alerts may be followed by the “AVOID TERRAIN” or “AVOID OBSTACLE” aural alert. In this case, the flight crew must adjust bank as necessary.
-DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION (SLATS/FLAPS, GEAR) UNTIL CLEAR OF OBSTACLE
TCAS WARNINGS - RESOLUTION ADVISORY
“TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC”…
“CLIMB”
“DESCEND”
“MAINTAIN VERTICAL SPEED MAINTAIN”
“LEVEL OFF, LEVEL OFF”
“MONITOR VERTICAL SPEED”
As soon as Traffic Advisory (TA) is triggered:
If the AP/FD TCAS mode is armed: “TCAS BLUE”
If the AP/FD TCAS mode does not arm/is not indicated (not installed): “TCAS , I HAVE CONTROL”
When TCAS Resolution Advisory (RA) is triggered:
* If AP/FD TCAS mode is available (TCAS FMA):
-FD ORDERS…………..FOLLOW
-The AP can be engaged.
-VERTICAL SPEED…………MONITOR
- If AP/FD TCAS mode is NOT available (NO TCAS FMA):
- AP (if engaged)…….OFF
- BOTH FDs…………….OFF
Respond promptly and smoothly.
-VERTICAL SPEED…….ADJUST OR MAINTAIN
Adjust or maintain the vertical speed as required to reach the green area and/or avoid the red area of the vertical speed scale.
STALL RECOVERY
“STALL, I HAVE CONTROL”
- NOSE DOWN PITCH CONTROL……APPLY
- BANK………………………………..WINGS LEVEL
- When out of Stall (no longer stall indications):
- THRUST…..INCREASE SMOOTHLY AS NEEDED
- SPEEDBRAKES…..CHECK RETRACTED
- FLIGHT PATH….RECOVER SMOOTHLY
- If in clean configuration and below 20,000 feet:
- FLAP 1…….SELECT
