FSH (follicle stimulating hormone)

A

FSH is released from the pituitary gland when progesterone and oestrogen levels are low. FSH causes the egg to mature in the follicle and stimulates oestrogen levels to rise

Oestrogen

A

Oestrogen is released from the ovaries, causing the lining of the uterus to build up. High levels cause a surge of LH
