morality is subject to cognition - something that exists so moral statements would become factual statements
- non cognitivism
opposite no factual - not subject to truth and falsity - morality cannot be known
cognitive ethics - divided into two
(naturalism)
naturalism - ms can be reduced to natural statements ( exist in natural world - observable)- can verify empirically so become factual statements
morally good can be simplified to pleasure- if provides pleasure is morally good - something promoted pain - bad
