2
Q

Define resolution / resolving power.

A
  • The smallest distance that points can be spereated and still be seen as separate items.
  • The amount of detail an image appears in is dependent on the removing power of the microscope.

3
Q

What affects resolving power?

A
  • It is limited by the wavelength of light used by the microscope.
  • The shorted the wavelength used to see a specimen, the higher the resolution.
