  • Set magnification.
  • Align stage & eyepiece graticules on stage
  • Count divisions on the eyepiece graticule per stage micrometer division.
  • Use stage micrometer values to calculate 1 eyepiece division.

  • Eosin → Cytoplasm (pink/red).
  • Iodine → Starch (blue-black).
  • Methylene blue → DNA (blue).
