1. Place **slide **onto stage and clip down.
2. Select lowest power objective lens
3. Use course adjustment knob to bring stage just below lens.
   4.** Look through eyepiece** whilst turning course adjustment knob until image is in focus
4. Use fine adjustment knob to bring image to clear focus
5. Higher power objective lens can now be used. Use fine adjustment knob to bring image back into focus.
