Discuss how trade impacted the spread of Islam
Islam was spread to Europe, Asia and Africa because of trade. Of the main items that were spread through trade was spices. Since these countries were the headquarters of Islam, this allowed the Arab world to have great control over the trade routes. Since spice was easy to carry and useful in multiple areas, these items became important in trade. Muslim practice of direct trade furthered the exposure of the religion.
