200 rounds per minute (two to three seconds between bursts). Change barrel every two minutes.
How many rounds per minute is CYCLIC fire and how frequently will you have to change barrels?
650 to 950 rounds per minute. Not intended to fire at 950 rounds per minute. This will cause accelerated wear/damage to the barrel and rest of weapon.
What is the weapons status CLEAR?
Weapon systems downloaded and Safe. The M240H is stowed, chamber is visually cleared of rounds, bolt is locked to the rear, weapon selector is on SAFE, and there are no rounds in the feed tray.
What is the weapons status STOWED?
The M240H is stowed, ammunition in the feed tray, cover is closed with bolt forward, and weapon selector is on FIRE.
What is the weapons status LOADED?
Weapon Action Switch deactivated/ Weapon systems load- ed and weapons on Safe. The M240H weapon is manned, ammunition is in the feed tray, cover is closed with the bolt forward, and weapon selector is on FIRE.
What is the weapons status ARMED?
Weapon systems Armed or Weapon Action Switch activated. The 240H weapon is manned, ammunition is in the feed tray, cover is closed with the bolt locked fully to the rear and weapon safety selector is on FIRE when firing and on SAFE when not firing.

PC may engage any target not positively identified as friendly in accordance with established rules of engagement as well as directed engagement and bypass criteria.
