Q

Describe the stages of Mitosis.

A

=Interphase
-DNA replication
-Increase in ATP
-Cell physically grows larger

=Prophase
-Chromosomes become visible
-Centrioles move to opposite poles of cell
-Spindle fibres develop
-Spindle apparatus form

=Metaphase
-Chromosomes attach themselves to the spindle apparatus by their centromeres

=Anaphase
-Centromeres split and splindle fibres pull chromatids apart to opposite poles

=Telophase
-Chromosomes reach poles and nuclear envelope reforms around chromosomes (Forming a new nucleus)
