Q

Describe the process of mitosis in 6 stages

A
  1. Nucleus containing long uncoiled chromosomes double two form identical chromosomes
  2. Short choices chromosomes
  3. Pairs of identical chromosomes line up at the equator of the cell where spindle fibres attach
  4. Chromatids are pulled to opposite poles of the cell
  5. Cytoplasm divides and nuclear membrane forms around the two new sets of chromosomes
  6. Identical daughter cells with the same chromosome compliment
