How do you convert a mixed number into an improper fraction?
A
First you must find a new top number by multiplying the whole number with the denominator the adding that number to the numerator, the denominator stays the same.

How to Add/ Subtract mixed numbers?
A
First you must split the whole number and the fraction parts, add or subtract up all the parts then change the improper fraction to a mixed number and add the whole number to the mixed number.
