A
  1. Impressions or intraoral scans
  2. Pouring dental gypsum or acrylic into impressions of teeth and allowing it to harden
    - Can also be made using CAD-CAM technology by milling or printing

A

- Purpose = A special tray is constructed on it for taking a secondary impression

A

More accurate replicas of the primary model
- Made to replicate the entire oral structure, including teeth, gums, ridge areas, upper/lower jaws, soft tissue structures, and arch

made from the original imp –> when no clinical alterations have been made –> the study model becomes the primary model
