South Carolinia said they will nullify laws that they think are unconstitutional and threatens to secede.

Law put in place that gave power to the military to stop Nullification and enforce federal laws

Not as equals. Many believed Indiginous people must be relocated

Law that gave the gov’t power to make “treaties” and move Indigenous peoples West.

They adapted their way of life to mimic traditional American culture
