What did china do after WW1 and why ?
A
After WWII China first encouraged their population to increase (1940s).
They did this to create a workforce for their fields and the army - to improve their economy and national security.

What happened as a result of china encouraging people to increase population ?
A
caused major famines over the years - coupled with droughts causing 15 million deaths. The population began to increase after this drought - resulting in their attempts to reduce the population beginning in 1979.
