Q

EXPLAIN - Why does the church RESPOND to an issue which is creating conflict in society?

**CHURCH UNDERSTANDS THE VALUE OF HUMAN LIFE **

A

Church belief is that LIFE IS GOD GIVEN, and therefore it is NOT A CHOICE.
- it should never be ‘TAKEN AWAY, from God’s Will

As the CULIMMINATION of his creation, God makes his creation (HUMANS) and their HUMANITY - “IN HIS OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS’ (Genesis 1:27)

  • Humans are representations of GOD, therefore we have a duty to live GODLY.
  • THEREFORE RESPECT OUR BODY AND NOT HARM IT.

THEREFORE at times where there is an ATTACK ON HUMAN DIGNITY, the CATHOLIC CHURCH is called to UPHOLD AND PROTECT THE human dignity of ANYONE INVOLVED.

**RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CHURCH TO EXPRESS ITS UNDERSTANDING OF GOD’S LOVE AND WILL FOR THE GOODNESS OF PEOPLE. **

A

GOD is the TRINITY - FATHER, SON, and the HOLY SPIRIT.

Father sent the son who is HALF HUMAN AND HALF DIVINE.
- human element of JESUS transferred the HOLY SPIRIT again, to people which gave them the RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKING INSIDE A MAN.

  • PART OF PEOPLE’S VOCATION TO HAVE THIS REPOSNIBILITY.

THE CHURCH’S RESPONSIBILITY is to be the COLLECTIVE BODY OF JESUS

  • act, care and respond to bring Jesus
  • ensure people experience Jesus
