Recording
Happens During training sessions by collecting data and feedback
Happens straight after the session too
Record results - e.g. heart rate zone, targets met
Write up training diary after the session- e.g. what went well? Changes to be made etc.
Monitoring
Monitoring occurs DURING each session throughout your training programme.
You monitor to ensure you are making progress and that your programme is effective in helping you meet your targets.
You can monitor by repeating observation schedules/retesting bleep test/monitoring heart rate/knowledge of results.
Evaluating
This happens AFTER your 6-week training programme has been completed.
Use the information gathered from recording and monitoring to compare data.
This then allows you to make a judgement on whether your programme was effective or not.
