More Compnents Flashcards
(17 cards)
350 psi pressure switch LOCATION
In the manifold pressure line closest to rotor brake
350 psi pressure switch FUNCTION
Stops the motor, starts the time delay
40 psi pressure switch LOCATION
In the manifold pressure line closest to the manifold
40 psi pressure switch FUNCTION
Allows brake to re-pump to 40 psi during rotor positioning
Used during rotor positioning only
Rotor Brake Disc LOCATION
On the tail drive shaft take off flange, aft of the MGB
Rotor Brake Disc FUNCTION
Provides breaking surface
Teeth on circumference engage the MRH positioning drive motor
Teeth on circumference engage the gust lock
Brake Housing and Pucks LOCATION
Mounted on the MGB at the rotor brake disc
Brake Housing and Pucks FUNCTION
Applies pressure to the rotor brake disc
Houses the brake pistons
Control Switches LOCATION
On the matter switch panel, center overhead console
Control Switches FUCNTION
Two switches:
Normal(Soft) brake switch-used “ON” positioning during normal operation to slow the rotor head
Emergency(hard) brake switch
Emergency brake switch
Parking, brake- Pressurizes to 975 psi in 5-8 seconds
RELEASE- Electrically releases brake, spring loaded off
“ROTOR BRAKE PRESS” light
10 psi inside rotor brake system
“ROTOR BRAKE ON” light
975 psi inside rotor brake system
Interlock Micro Switches
Prevent the brake from being actuated unless two speed control levers MRC in shut-off & the others is at GRD idle or shut-off
How many shut-off switches
6
Two per cable tensioner
Gust Lock POSITION
Below the rotor brake disc, cabin overhead
Gust Lock FUNCTION
Lever handle- Engages brake disc teeth
Two detent positions & two micro switches
Micro switch for rotor positioning & blade fold interlock system
Micro switch for “ROTOR LOCKED” light on caution advisory panel
