Rotor Brake Manifold Flashcards
(13 cards)
Location
After hydraulic compartment, right side
Reservoir
Fluid storage
Accumulator
Compensates for thermal expansion
Hydraulic Pump
Develops pressure, electrically operated
Electric Motor
Drives the pump
10 psi pressure switch
Sense 10 psi in the system, illuminates “rotor brake press”
975 psi pressure switch
Sense 975 psi, illuminates “rotor brake on”
Stops motor
1250 psi Relief Valve
Protects system from over pressurization
Sight Gauge
Provides visual indication of fluid level in the reservoir
Dump Valve
Electrically (solenoid) operated, open-brake pressure release
Dump valve closed
Brake pressure builds
Dump valve mechanically operated
Has a manual release in cabin overhead, mechanical detent
Check valve
Prevents fluid from returning to the reservoir when the pump is not turning
