What is displacement?
The distance moved from a fixed point in a given direction
What is velocity ?
Rate of change of displacement with time
What does it mean when an object travels with uniform velocity ?
It travels equal distances in equal time intervals so the velocity is constant
What is acceleration ?
Rate of change of velocity with time
How do we find instantaneous velocity on a displacement time graph ?
At a particular point in time draw a tangent to the graph at that time
How do we find the average velocity from a displacement time graph ?
Between two points in time find the m of the line joining those two points on the graph
What is the gradient of a velocity time graph ?
Acceleration
What does the area under a velocity time graph represent ?
Displacement of the body
