Barricade tape- uses 3 types of tape to indicate: red tape= full PPE hot zone, yellow= fire line do not cross and chevron = absolutely no one enters the area regardless of PPE or training

Traffic cones - collapsible ones are found on aerials. Solid ones on engines
Triangle road flares
Lino knife - also called a banana knife or hook axe. Is a small knife that has a short, stiff blade with a curved point and a handle. Is used to cut linoleum or other sheet materials such as wood panelling, veneer and sheet mica. Located in the TOOLBOX
Slip Joint Pliers- configured similarly to a common or linesman pliant but their pivot point of fulcrum can be moved to increase the size range of their jaw. Used for gripping or bending hardware, nuts and bolts. Located in the TOOLBOX
Pipe Wrench- is a wrench that is designed to turn threaded pipe and pipe fittings for assembly (tightening) or disassembly (loosening). We have 10” (TOOLBOX) and 18” (STANDPIPE BAG) aluminum pipe wrench .
Screwdriver Single Tip- has a handle, shaft and tip used for screwing and unscrewing screws. Two most common are the simple “blade-type” for slotted screws and Phillips. Located in TOOLBOX
Needle or Long Nose Pliers- both cutting and holding pliers. They are useful for reaching into small areas where cables or other materials become stuck or unreadable with fingers or other means. Located in the TOOLBOX
Linesman Heavy Duty Side Cutting Pliers- used mainly in the electrical trade for stripping or cutting wire or cable. Also gripping, twisting, bending or crimping. Have beveled cutting edge and tapered nose which can be used to ream out conduit openings and junction box holes. Located in TOOLBOX
Allen Wrenches - one of the simplest wrenches to use. Small L-shaped wrench with six sides. It has a hexagonal head at each end, used to turn bolts and screws having hexagonal sockets. Located in the TOOLBOX
Adjustable Wrench (crescent wrench) - comes in a range of sizes from 4 to 24 inches. Having one moveable jaw adjusted by a screw to allow the head to fit various sizes of nuts, bolts, etc. located in the TOOLBOX
Channel Lock (multi-groove pliers)- often used for gripping irregularly shaped objects. They can be used for clamping materials. Commonly used for holding and turning nuts and bolts. Located in the TOOLBOX
Cold Chisel- tool is forged to shape, hardened and tempered at the cutting edge, used for cutting cold metals (not used in conjunction with heating torches). You want to use a ball-peen hammer (do not use a claw hammer- the head is not tempered for hitting hard metal and could chip) Located in the TOOLBOX
Utility Knife- a knife with a small sharp retractable blade, designed to cut wood, cardboard and other materials. Has an internal compartment which stores additional replacement blades. Located in the VEHICLEX TOOLBELT and TOOLBOX
Tin Snips- designed to cut straight and wide curves as well as trim sheet metal or softer materials. Can cut aluminum up to 18 gauge and mild steel up to 24 garage or stainless steel up to 26 gauge. Located in TOOLBOX
Scissors - heavy duty handle and blade cuts various types of materials; including clothing fabric, metal and metal/foam splints . Located in the medical bag and VEHICLEX BELT
Side Cutters- used to cut wire and the leads of components in electronics. Are located in the TOOLBOX, HIGH-RISE appliance kit and VEHICLEX toolbelt

Hand saw - for wood. Also known as panel saw. There are 2 types of- the Rip saw or Cross cut saw.
Rip saw- used for cutting with the grain (parallel) designed to cut on the push stroke and not the pull stroke.
Cross cut - used for cutting with the grain (perpendicular) designed to cut on both push and pull stroke. Located on RESCUE APPARATUS
Hack saw- a fine-toothed saw mainly used for cutting metal but extremely effective at cutting windshields (laminated glass). Cuts on the push stroke. Located in the CRASH KIT
