What are the differences between a chamber tomb and a tholos tomb?
-Chamber tones do not use stones
-Tholos tombs were used between 14-13BC wheres chamber tombs were used from 14BC to the end of the era

-Built around 14th century BC
-West of the city]-13m diameter
-Tholos tombs
-Clytemnestra was King Agamemnon’s wife
-Aegisthus was her second husband aftr he killed Agamemnon
-Tombs had been robbed in ancient times
Describe mycenaean burial customs
-Libations were left for the gods outside tholos tombs
-Wealthy bodies were clothed and adorned with jewellery
-A meal + sacrifice took place in honour of the dead
-A raised mound and steele would be placed on the grave for visibility
-Women were depicted near the body in elaborate clothing and raising their arms in grief
-People were buried in clay caskets which were painted
