How maps help firefighters?

Traffic controls
Terrain, features enroute
Select equipment appropriate to terrain
Magnetic variation
Correct for 2003 and moves East <0.010 per annum
Calculate the variation since it was taken:
2025 - 2003 = 22 years
22 x 0.01 = 0.22o East (movement since 2003)
Negligible variation
Determine the current variation:
13.4 + 0.22 = 13.620 E
