  • Unsuccessful as many German people ignored the Nazis and continued to use their local shops whether they were owned by Jews or not
  • It also wasn’t clear what was/wasn’t a Jewish business and lacked support in general

The Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service in April 1933 dismissed all Jews from the civil service

A

Hindenburg had exceptions for Jews that served in WW2 and Jews had large influence in law, medicine and education

But 37,000 Jews did emigrate in 1933
