what is a bursary?
A bursary is a financial aid award that helps students pay for their education, especially those who can’t afford it or are high achievers. Unlike a loan, it usually doesn’t have to be repaid, but it often comes with conditions such as good performance or future employment. bursaries are commonly offered by the government, private companies, non-profit organizations.
What are the requirements for the FET colleges bursary scheme?
South African citizenship
enrolled or intending to register for a national certificate (NCV)
in need of financial assistance
shows potential for academic success, such as passing marks in grade 11 or 12
What is a study loan?
A study loan is lent to you by a bank that you can study. A company or a business may also lend you money. You need to be registered at a higher education institute to get a study loan.
Where can you get study loans ?
Banks, Eduloan, National student financial scheme (NSFAS)
What is a scholarship?
A scholarship is money that a company , business or organization awards to you because you did well at school in your studies or at sport.
What is a learnerships ?
a learnership is a job that pays you while you are studying. You study the theory at a higher education institution and practise what you have learnt in your job. Sometimes you wont get full salary but will be given a allowance.
