Nerves that supply the skin of the arm region(MA) Flashcards
(2 cards)
What are the nerves that supply sensory innervations to the skin of the arm? and what are the main 5 nerves that provides sensory innervation to the forearm?
There are 5 nerves that supply the skin of the arm and they are supraclavicular nerve, axillary nerve, radial nerve, median nerve, and ulnar nerve
-Superior lateral brachial cutaneous (sensory innervation): supplies the skin overlying the deltoid and the lateral side of the mid-arm
-Intercostobrachial and medial brachial cutaneous (sensory innervation): supplies the medial side of the arm
-Inferior lateral brachial cutaneous (sensory innervation):upplies the inferolateral aspect of the arm
-Posterior brachial cutaneous (sensory innervation): supplies the skin on the posterior aspect of the arm
What are the motor innervations and what do they innervate
Anterior compartment: Musculocutaneous nerve
Posterior compartment: Radial nerve
