Rompun sol. (Rompun 2% sol. for inj.)

A

AS: Xylazini hydrochloridum, alpha-2-agonist.
Sedative with analgesic and muscle relaxant properties.
I: Premedication for minor operations, local or regional anaesthesia in cattle, horses, dogs and cats. For handling, transport, medical examination, salivation (cattle) and emesis (cats and dogs).
CI: First month and Iater stage of pregnancy (except at parturition), cardiovascular changes in elderly and pulmonary disease (diabetes mellitus). Horses not intended for human consumption
WP: Cattle meat 1 day.
D: At the requested effect; Cattle 0,05-0,3 mg/kg (IM), Horses 0,6-1 mg/kg (slow IV), Cats 3 mg/kg (IM) and Dogs 1-3 mg/kg (lM).
Analeptics will shorten the period or reduce the depth of sedation. Atipamezole (alpha-2- blockers) may be effective in reversing the sedation and other physiological effects of the drug.

Sedalin sol. (Sedalin mitte, forte tbl., gel a.u.v.)

A

AS: Acepromazinum. Sedative - Neuroleptic agent.
Central psychomotoric neuroleptic.
I: For modulation of horses and dogs, premedication prior to anaesthesia, neuroleptanalgesia and antiemetic.
CI: Shock, persisting excitement, epilepsy and post traumatic hypovolaemia.
Not for use in animals intended for human consumption.
D: At the requested effect; Horses 0.1-0.4 mg/kg (PO). Dogs 1-3 mg/kg (PO).
Increasing the dosage results in prolonged action and side effects but no greater sedation.

Stresnil sol. (Stresnil sol. for inj.)

A

AS: Azaperoni. Sedative - Neuroleptic agent.
I: Neuroleptic sedative and premedication in local and general anaesthesia for pigs. Use for aggression, stress, transport and obstetric conditions.
CI: Transport of pigs for slaughter, cold conditions because of risk of cardiovascular collapse and too high dose in boars due to prolapse of penis.
WP: Meat 10 days.
D: At the requested effect; 0.4-2 mg/kg (IM).

Domitor inj. (Cepetor 1 mg/ml sol. for inj.)

A

AS: Medetomidini hydrochloridum, alfa-2-agonist.
Sedative - Hypnotic and analgesic agent.
I: Sedation and premedication prior to general anaesthesia for dogs and cats. For restraint, sedation and analgesia associated with clinical examinations and minor procedures.
CI: Severe cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, failures of liver and kidneys, diabetes mellitus and pregnancy.
D: At the requested effect; Dogs 10-80 mcg/kg (IM, IV or SC). Cats 50-150 mcg/kg (IM or SC).
The dose can be repeated if necessary.

Domosedan inj. a.u.v.

A

AS: Detomidini hydrochloridum, alfa-2-agonist.
Sedation and analgesic effect, premedication prior to anaesthesia.
I: Handling of horses; for examination, minor surgical interventions and other manipulations. Domosedan + ketamine used for short duration general anaesthesia for procedures such as castration.
CI: Diseases of heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, last month of pregnancy.
WP: Meat 2 days, milk 1 day.
D: At the requested effect; 0,1-0,8 mI/100 kg (IM or IV).
Onset of effect is more rapid following slow IV administration.

Torbugesic 1% sol. for inj.

A

AS: Butorphanol. Analgesic and sedative agent.
I: For moderate to severe pain in horses, dogs and cats. For alleviating pain associated with the abdominal problems in horses. For ear cleaning, wound management, anal gland flush and cast application in dogs. For cats medetomidine is needed for sedation, fracture examination/casting, ear cleaning, wound management and other minor procedures.
CI: History of liver disease, pregnancy, colic animals and cardiac diseases.
Not for use in animals intended for human consumption.
D: Horses 0,1-1 mg/kg (lV). Dogs 0,1 -0,2 mg/kg (IV, IM or SC). Cats 0,4 mg/kg (SC or IM) and 0,1 mg/kg (IV).

Novasul inj. a.u.v (Chosalgan - S inj. a.u.v.) (Analgin inj. a.u v.)

A

AS: Metamizolum natricum. Pyrazolone.
Sedative with analgetic, antipyretic and spasmolytic effects.
I: For horses, cattle, dogs and pigs. Treatment for convulsions of gastrointestinal and urogenital tract, oesophageal obstruction, colic (fever), pain, arthritis, paresis and neuritis.
CI: Ulcers in gastrointestinal mucosa, hepatic-, renal- or cardiac insufficiency.
WP: Meat after IV inj. 6 days, meat after IM inj. 12 days and milk 3 days. Do not use in mares producing milk for human consumptuon.
D: At the requested effect; Horses 5-50 ml (slow IV). Cattle 5-40 ml (IV or IM). Pigs 1-30 ml (IV or IM). Dogs 1-3 ml (IV or IM).
Injections can be repeated on the same day at a min of 8 hours interval.

Atropine inj.

A

AS: Atropine sulfate.
I: For use in dogs and cats. Use as a preanaesthetic adjuvant. For reduction of salivation, bronchial secretions, or intestinal peristalsis associated with colic or diarrhoea. For treatment of organophosphate insceticide poisoning.
CI: Narrow angle glaucoma, ileus, urinary obstruction and cardiac diseases.
D: 1 ml/10 kg (IV, IM or SC) as a preanaesthetic adjuvant, or to reduce salivation, bronchial secretions, or intestinal peristalsis associated with colic or diarrhoea. As an antidote for parasympathomimetic drugs, inject 1 mI/2 kg and repeat as necessary. It is suggested that 1/4 be inj. IV and the rest IM or SC.
