A

Lack of news/misinformation
- access to more information but most is just copied and modified, fake news for political agenda
Domination of media conglomerates
- rather than free development and expression media is controlled by a few big tech companies that invest large amounts to not only a control access to new media but search engines and web servers which store info,many users se platforms and people unable to see radical blogs unless they want you to
Increasing consumption and commercialisation
- internet sphere of consumption, most of what we see is aimed at selling something making it difficult to read some new sites due to ads,companies use out data to find preferences sell to advertising companies, 1/3 of Amazon purchases are made from recommendations
Increase in echo chambers
- led to more polarisation and conflict e.g brexit
Reinforcing elite power
-parties use media for ads and campaigns,keep their biased info at the top of search engines
Surveillance - ex CIA analyst claimed in 2015 British security ervuces had technology to access the info stored on people’s phones
