What are the advantages of Pressure-targeted ventilation?
A
- the pressure delivered is constant and avoids
sudden pressure increase that occurs with volume control - compensates for air leak
- EPAP flushes exhaled CO2 from the mask and distal ventilator tubing, aids triggering and counteracts the tendency for upper airway collapse during expiration.
