What is a passing tone?
A
Non-harmonic tone approached scale wise and resolved scale wise, CONTINUING IN THE SAME direction
May be unaccented or accented, may be single, double or triple

What is a suspension?
A
Non-hamronic tone that is approached by preparation and resolved scale wise, USUALLY DOWN.
3 parts: prepration, suspension, resolution

What is a neighboring tone?
A
Non-harmonic tone, approached scale wise and resolved scale wise in a direction OPPOSITE TO THE APPROACH.
May be upper or lower, single, double, or triple; diatonic or altered.
