Q

Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia (MAT)

A

Q

SVT - AVNRT

A
  • most common PSVT, dual AV nodal pathways (alpha and beta)
  • alpha is fast pathway, long refractory period (RP)
  • beta is slow, with short RP period
  • PAC occurs during alphas refractory period and utilizes beta, but by then alpha has repolarized and iniates a PSVT

Q

Junctional escape beat

A
  • AV node is the pacemaker, NARROW QRS
  • Rate of 40-60 bpm, protective when SA node doesn’t fire
  • Thus, no P wave but normal QRS and T wave morphology
