The vines are planted in three lieux-dits, “les Baumes,” -clay and sandstone and alluvium “Peleat” -lower on the hill which is lighter soil with clay, silex, rounded pebbles - produces more elegant wines “La Grande Diogniere.” -sand, clay, chalk -The grapes are whole bunch fermented. -The wine is then aged for 18 months in 30% new, French oak barrels before bottling.
