What is the difference between simple and complex carbs?

Simple carbs are made up of sugar, while complex carbs need to broken down into sugar.

Complex carbs give energy over a long period of time.

Fiber helps in digestion and elimination of waste. It lowers the risk of heart disease diabetes and obesity.
