S/S:
- Crepitus
- Flexion contracture
- Antalgic gait
- Swipe test/patellar tap

If loose bodies in the joint present
**Hallmark: locking/catching

Rx:
- Joint traction
- OKC
- Isometrics through range

- Walk with Trendelenbury
- Groin pain
- Osteophytes

• Most common: Knee & great toe of foot

PT Mx:
- Acute: pain Mx, rest, restore normal flexibility and function
Do not exercise a red, hot, swollen joint

Systemic S&S:
- Fever
- Chills
- Tachycardia
