In English, we say:
* I love you.
Here:
— I is the subject (the person who does the action).
— you is the object (the person who receives the action).

A

In Ukrainian, it’s the same idea.

  • я́ люблю́ тебе́
    (“I love you”)
    — я́ = subject form
    — тебе́ = object form (accusative case)
