(30 cards)
When is ISA temperature difference shown on the lower ECAM next to TAT and SAT temperatures?
When STD is set
When is the G LOAD shown, and for how long?
When above 1.4g or below 0.7g, and is shown for 5 seconds after the occurrence
What would you expect from a level 3 failure?
It is a warning, which requires immediate action
Message displayed on upper ECAM
System page displayed on lower ECAM
Red master warning light flashes
System light may illuminate (eg on pb)
CRC or synthetic voice
What would you expect from a level 2 failure?
Amber caution. Immediate action not required
Master caution light illuminates steady
Single chime
Specific system light may illuminate
What would you expect from a level 1 failure?
Amber caution. Monitor a failure
No aural or visual alert
Amber caution displayed on upper ECAM
No master caution light
What would you expect from an independent failure?
A failure which affects an isolated system, and does not degrade the performance of other aircraft systems
What would you expect from a primary failure?
A primary failure is a failure of a system or item that causes the loss of other systems or items of equipment that depend on it
What would you expect from a secondary failure?
A secondary failure is the loss of a system or item of equipment resulting from the initial primary failure
How can you identify a primary failure?
It has a boxed title on the left side of the memo section
How can you identify a secondary failure?
They are on the right side of the upper ECAM in amber, with a star in front of them
When is TO Inhibit active? Which flight phases?
Phases 3, 4, 5
First engine to takeoff power, until
1500ft
When is LDG Inhibit active? Which flight phases?
Phases 7 and 8
800ft, until
80kts
What happens if there is an open fault when the aircraft enters an inhibit phase?
The fault will continue to display
How do you recall previously emergency cancelled failures?
Press the RCL button for 3 seconds
Which angles of bank have markers on the PFD?
0, 10, 20, 30, 45
What does the sideslip indicator indicate in the air and on the ground?
Ground - lateral acceleration
Air - Sideslip
What does the speed trend arrow represent on the speed scale?
The speed the aircraft will reach in 10 seconds if the acceleration remains constant
When does the speed trend arrow appear and disappear?
Appears at speed trends greater than 2kts
Disappears when speed trend less than 1kt
When is Mach number shown on the PFD?
Greater than 0.5 Mach
What do the green double lines on the speed tape represent?
The speed at which the overspeed protection becomes active
What is another name for V2?
Takeoff safety speed
What is another name for F speed? How about S speed?
Minimum flap retract speed
Minimum slat retract speed
When will backup speed scale appear automatically?
All three ADRs off
Where does the BUSS get its data?
Angle of attack and depends on the slat/flap position
