- Type I (Sliding): GE junction and stomach slide into thorax.
- Type II (Paraesophageal): Stomach herniates, GE junction stays in place.
- Type III (Mixed): Both GE junction and stomach herniate.
- Type IV: Stomach + other abdominal organs herniate into chest.
