ONE APU start attempt allowed following a dual-gen failures
APU Restart 30s after APU is at 0% RPM,
- 3 start attempts, with 90 cooling, in 30 minutes.
Maximum Speed for start 305 kt
Maximum Altitude 20 000ft
APU Operating Restrictions
APU compartment must be inspected after auto shutdown
After 45 min of APU operation in ambient temps, of 30 min or greater keep the main door closed except for boarding or deplaning.
Auto Pilot Limitations
Don’t use the YAW damper for takeoff and landing,
Don’t manually override autopilot during normal flight
Do not use autopilot when:
- Comparison monitor is activated
- Either PFD is in ATT or HDG revision
- Either AHRS has failed.
Auto Pilot minimum Altitude limitations
En route or descent - 1000ft
ILS or LPV approach - 160
All other approach types - 200
Takeoff, climb, and missed approach - 400
Auto throttle
Only allowed to be armed when cleared for takeoff
Dont use autothrottle with any comparison monitor message and appropriate sensor revision not selected
- Autothrottle hold must be displayed before 65kts during takeoff
RED AT HOLD FAIL is displayed when the autothrottle TO mode is active, but the HOLD mode is not active. DO NOT TAKE OFF
- If auto throttle is not engaged don’t engage above 65kts till 400ft AGL
- Disengage the autothrottle before landing with other than FULL Flaps.
Maximum GPU voltage

Maximum Imbalance 400lbs
Hydraulic
Don’t use the AUX pump inflight or when SAT is -40 deg C
Aux hyd pump on the ground, limited to two minutes every 15 min, after 2 minutes 15 minutes cool off period.
Anti ice select on
Select ENG/STAB at 10 - 35 Deg C
Select L and R wing - ON 5 - 35 Deg C
Icing Conditions
On ground:
SAT is 10 deg C or below
Visible moisture less than 1sm
Inflight:
RAT is 10 or below
Visible moisture 1sm
If type II, III or IV anti-icing has been used dont select anti-ice on till just prior to takeoff
Icing Operating requirements
If Bleed anti-ice is turned on, operate both engines above 65% N1
Flight in FZRA is prohibited
Pitot/Static to two minutes limited on the ground
WING ANTI-ICE above FL410 is prohibited.
Flap 1 is limited if the aircraft has been de-iced
In icing conditions maintain flap configuration till landing.
EICAS
ISA + 26 deg C, provide conditioned air to the cockpit and close the cabin door if avionics system is used.
ISA + 31 deg C consider the limitations.
Display units
Do not depart if the GDU is in revision mode
Navigation
Don’t use HF if ADF is used for navigation
Don’t move the aircraft if till the alignment is completed +/- 90sec
For GPS approaches must be retrieved from the current database
