Damage Chart

A

Damage site #1 : losing sight in left eye. Entire Left optic nerve cut and total loss to left eye

Damage site #2 : partial damage to left optic nerve. Nasal visual field of left eye (temperal part of the left retina) is lost

Damage site #3 : the optic chiasm would be damaged. Temperal lateral portions of the visual field would be lost. Crossing fibres are cut.

Damage #4 & 5 : damage to optic tract #4 or the fiber tract for the lateral geniculate to the cortex #5 can cause identical vision loss. Loss of vision on right
