- Whey is leucine enriched, rapidly digested, fast-acting protein
- Casein has longer peptide chains, meaning it takes longer to digest and absorb (AA sustained in blood for longer)

Leucine

Post-exercise anabolic signalling (mTOR signalling response) is abolished when leucine is absent.
