A

Grown, mown, ploughed into soil to decompose = green manure.
Provide nutrients.

A

Cheap/free
High in humus- good for soil structure and water holding capacity
Provide nutrients for soil organisms, promoting living matter in soil

What are the disadvantages of organic fertilisers?

A

Need to be broken down into inorganic matter for soil to be able to take up nutrients= time and cost of labour.
Bulky= expensive to transport and spread
