What happens when the potato is put in a diluted solution?

A

Permanent vacuole fills up and swells putting pressuron on cytoplasm which then puts pressure on cell wall making the cell turgid

What happens when the potato is put in a concentrated solution?

A

Water in permanent vacuole leaves and goes in the solution, causing less pressure on cell wall and cytoplasm causing the cell to shrink and become plasmolysed
