-supply 3cb with logistical assets such as; vechile recovery and repairs, stores and ammunitions, medical support, fuel and all other assets required for all manner of operation both at sea and ashore
-uniquely supply all facets and equipments without relying on support from other units

Commando Helicopter Force

Based at: Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton Somerset
-equipped to provide aerial reconnaisance, attack helicopters and troop/load carrying helicopters in support of operations and exercises across the globe

47 Commando (Raiding)

Based at RM Tamar, HMNB Devonport, Plymouth
-lead for amphibious warfare and RN board and search training
-use fast and highly maneuverable watercraft to conduyct hit-and-run operations on enemy ships and to deliver troops and equipment ashore.

539 Raiding Squadron

Based at RM Tamar, HMNB Devonport, Plymouth
-use landing craft and amphibious vechiles to get their fellow Marines to shore
-Operate Griffon hovercraft as one of their key vessels

Armed Support Group

Based in Amour Centre - Bovington, Dorset
-experts in all-terrain protected mobility
-operate Viking all terain vechiles, supporting lead commando group both on land and sea

Commando Training Centre (CTCRM)

-Trains other ranks and officers of the Royal Marines, its commanders and its specialists
-On average 1300 recruits and 2000 potential recruits and 400 potential officers attend training courses and acquaint cources at CTCRM every year.
