Q

Theory behind benefit - physiology, target group

A

Platelet rich plasma is derived via centrifugation of whole blood and is rich in growth factors and cytokines, the factors promote healing and regeneration by inducing chemotaxis, cell migration and differentiation. Also contribute to angiogenesis and inflammatory changes which play a key role in tissue repair and regeneration.

Has been shown in small case series to possibly benefit those with POI, dimished ovarian reserve. Possibly older patients.
